Hanging Baskets & Patio Pots
- Start with the best potting soil. It should be light and fluffy to promote good root growth.
- Make sure the pot you have chosen is large enough to support the plant all summer. A bigger pot means less watering.
- Plant compatable plants in mixed containers ex: sun plants in a sun pot, shade plants in a shade pot.
- Plants in pots grow very fast and need a lot of nutrients.
- Fertilize your plants every week with a balanced water-soluble fertilizer. Sprinkle a slow released fertilizer on top of soil for added nutrients.
- Plants that you can't keep watered should be repotted into a larger basket.
